Leading by Reading: Book Reviews & Insights by Jay

“Meaning is invisible, but the invisible is not contradictory of the visible: the visible itself has an invisible inner framework, and the in-visible is the secret counterpart of the visible.”

M. Merleau-Ponty, Working Notes, 1968

In understanding so-called life, what faculty do we apply?
Born as human beings with various sensory faculties, we don’t give them much weight in contemplating our existence, taking them for granted.
We absorb every sensory input and experience the world around us.
What is visible, therefore, is truth.
If anything is not observable through our eyes or measured, we tend to become cautious in accepting it as truth.

However, our world doesn’t exist without having its roots before it.
For, our world is a phenomenon, which has its origin from an unseen noumenon.

For quite a while, I have been contemplating the cause of the world and our existence.
Are we a species that knows where we are from?
Are we a species that knows why we are born into this world at this specific time and space?
Are we a species that vaguely feels something is missing in knowing ourselves?

Have we found all the answers from our observations of the phenomenon?
The answers lie in the invisible that is synonymous with noumenon.

Now, we have a homework.
Are you daring enough to explore the invisible?
Are you daring enough to penetrate the veil into the invisible to reach the truth?

I am starting my journey.
This new endeavor will comprise of a short insight sometimes and a lengthy subject in another, building up slowly.

I hope you can join in my journey.
